Analyst Newspaper is a world news site that compares how outlets in ten regions report the same events, setting out what they agree on, where their accounts differ and how each frames the story.
The same event can read like a different story depending on where you read it. We put those accounts side by side so you can form your own view.

We read widely
Our desk follows a published list of outlets in ten world regions: public broadcasters, private and independent media, news agencies and state-controlled outlets, each labelled for what it is.

We group the coverage
Reports about the same event are grouped together, across languages. A story qualifies for a full analysis only when outlets from several regions have covered it.

AI drafts, from the coverage alone
An AI model reads the headlines and summaries, extracts each claim, and drafts the analysis. It may only use that material, and every sentence must cite the outlets it came from.

Checks before publishing
Automated checks flag unsupported claims, unattributed accusations and loaded language, and a second AI model reviews each draft against its sources. Drafts that fail are corrected or held back. Our editor answers for everything we publish.
Our standards
- We never say which side is right. We set out what is reported, what is agreed, what is contested and how it is framed.
- Contested claims are always attributed to whoever makes them.
- Each position is described the way its own supporters would recognise it. We do not invent a counter-argument when coverage only carries one side.
- Loaded words used by outlets are attributed to them, never adopted in our own voice.
- "Agreed" means reported consistently by outlets in at least two regions.
- We work from headlines and summaries, so we say what the coverage we reviewed does not mention, never that an outlet hid something.
- We link to every source and quote no more than a short phrase. Read the originals for the full reporting.

Who writes the analyses?
An AI model drafts each analysis from the headlines and summaries of the outlets covering a story, citing a source for every claim. Automated checks and a second AI review test each draft before it is published. Andersson Iyke is the editor and is responsible for our standards and corrections.
Which outlets do you use?
We follow a published list of more than 130 outlets in ten world regions, including public broadcasters, private and independent media, news agencies and state-controlled outlets. Each is labelled by country, language and ownership on our sources page.
Why include state-controlled media?
Because they show how a government wants a story told, which is part of the picture. We label them clearly and attribute their claims to them, never repeating those claims in our own voice.
When does a story get a full analysis?
When outlets from at least two regions have covered it. Stories reported in only one region, or by specialist desks such as business or technology, are published as shorter briefs.
