Corrections

Our analyses are drafted from what outlets report, so an error can come from a source or from us. Either way, when a published analysis gets a fact wrong, misattributes a claim or leaves out a position that changes the picture, we correct the story, add a dated note at the top saying what changed, and list it on this page. We do not quietly edit published text.

Small fixes that do not change meaning, such as typos, are made without a note. When the story itself moves on, we publish an updated analysis rather than rewriting the old one.
